UTT Bids Farewell to 2 Members of Our Family

The UTT family recently lost two of our team members who have contributed a great deal to our growth, operations, and direction over the last several years.

Stephanie Ameiss

Stephanie Ameiss, UTT’s Director of Investigations, left our team in pursuit of new adventures. Stephanie has been with UTT since the fall of 2015.

Stephanie’s hallmarks are her tenacity, passion for the mission of UTT, her faith, and her patriotism.

In 1999, while a police cadet, Stephanie stopped one night to help a motorist on a bridge when she fell 60 feet through a gap in the highway to the dry river bed below.

Her miraculous story of survival and her road to recovery can be found HERE.

Stephanie is a retired police officer. While with the Gilbert Police Department in Arizona, Stephanie worked narcotics and gang investigations, career criminals, served as an undercover officer, and eventually worked her way to becoming a Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO).

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.

Those of you who have worked with Stephanie over the years, listened to her presentations and videos, received investigative assistance from her, or encountered her in any way, know she is dedicated to this nation, the truth, and taking bad guys off the street.

Stephanie Ameiss is already missed by the Understanding the Threat team, and we all wish her fair winds and following seas!

Guy Davidson

As I write this article, I am having dinner following the funeral for one of UTT’s teammates, Roy Guy Davidson III.

Guy distributed UTT’s materials – DVD’s, shirts, mugs, coins, etc. If you ever purchased something from UTT’s store, Guy Davidson’s hands touched it and ensured our customers received what they ordered.

Guy Davidson led a fascinating and adventurous life – a life which could be the subject of a film.

A Texas native (Sweetwater), Guy lived for many years in North Carolina where he worked with Congresswoman Sue Myrick (Charlotte) – where I first met Guy – and recently for North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest (2013-2021).

At age 12, Guy moved to Malawi, Africa with his parents to pursue missionary work. Years later Guy would adopt a son from Africa.

While Guy was a brilliant businessman with a creative mind, his specialty was video production.

UTT’s very first DVD, Understanding the Threat to America – The Outlawed Brief, was filmed, edited and produced by Guy Davidson.

Most importantly, Guy loved his 6 children and lived as a disciple, exemplifying the life he believed Jesus commands us all to live. He was a real man – tough when needed and compassionate when called for. Guy was a humble servant with a tremendous work ethic and a great sense of humor.

Those of us who knew Guy Davidson are deeply saddened by his passing, yet his funeral was a joyous recollection of a life well lived.

God bless you Guy. Rest in peace.
