Tuesday morning, November 15, 2022, the Dallas County Commission hosted the Imam from the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT), a Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood organizations that supports, as you would expect, jihad/terrorism, the overthrow of all un-Islamic governments, and the imposition of barbaric sharia (Islamic Law) on everyone on earth.
The Imam of the IANT was invited in to give the invocation to the meeting.
The Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) resides in Richardson, Texas, the former home of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). In 2001, the HLF was indicted because it was a front for the Foreign Terrorist Organizations Hamas.
The IANT hosted fundraising events for this Hamas organization HLF, and one of the key leaders of HLF, Ghassan Elashi worked at the IANT (formerly called the “Dallas Central Mosque) Islamic school.
It has also been reported that one of Ghassan Elashi’s brothers served as a Board Member for IANT.
All Elashi brothers are terrorists whose names are on a short list of Hamas leaders in the United States which can be found here.
The HLF and its leaders were convicted in 2008 of 108 separate counts of supporting and financing terrorism.
Evidence in the US v HLF trial, the largest terrorism financing trial ever successfully prosecuted in U.S. history, reveals organizations like the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and many other prominent Islamic organizations are a part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s jihadi network in the United States which actively works to overthrow the U.S. government through non-violent and violent means.
The IANT works directly with ISNA, ICNA, CAIR and other jihadi organizations.
The IANT website states “Muslims must donate 2.5% of their wealth” each lunar year per sharia zakat laws. Sharia, which IANT teaches to its attendees, students in the Islamic school, and through the IANT Quranic Academy, requires one eighth of all zakat collected to go to “Jihad” which Islamic Law defines as military operations against non-muslims.
One of the primary Islamic legal texts used to teach sharia and Islam to attendees and students at the IANT and its subsidiaries is Tafsir Ibn Kathir, the most authoritative Tafsir in Islam, which legally defines every verse in the Quran.
Verse 9:5 of the koran reads, “Then fight the unbeliever wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush.”
The Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT), using Tafsir Ibn Kathir, teaches the Islamic legal meaning of this verse is:
“Fight the unbeliever everywhere – on the earth in general – executing some and keeping some as prisoners. Do not wait until you find them. Rather, seek and besiege them in their areas and forts, gather intelligence about them on the various roads and fairways so that what is made wide looks ever smaller to them. This way, they will have no choice, but to die or embrace Islam.”
As a side note, the former leader of the IANT/Dallas Central Mosque – Imam Yusuf Kavakci – lead a celebration in Irving, Texas in 2004 for the “Great Visionary” Ayatollah Khomeini and the jihadi revolution in Iran in 1979.
Imam Kavakci is one of the leading Islamic scholars in the United States, founded the IANT Quranic Academy, serves as the resident scholar for the Islamic Association of North Texas, and is the senior Islamic legal jurist for the DFW Islamic Tribunal – something that actually stands in violation of federal and Texas state law.
Is a Hamas terrorist organization – Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT)- which publicly supports terrorists and other jihadi organizations, funds jihad/terrorism and teaches their people non-muslims must die or embrace Islam really who we should be inviting into the Dallas County Commission?
