What's New?

Written by John D. Guandolo

In every Understanding the Threat (UTT) Train the Trainer program, we have always included the book Abuse of Language Abuse of Power as a mandatory read, which we study in the classroom environment.

Why?

If you understand the core principles of this book, you will see that the way current events are explained to us by the media and our leaders is actually propaganda used to push Marxism and Islam forward inside America.

The author of Abuse of Language Abuse of Power, Josef Pieper, was a German philosopher, and the same man who gave Cardinal Josef Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) his doctorate in philosophy.

He wrote this book as a warning about communists in the West who were using the same methods the Nazis did in Germany to control language, control the people, and achieve their goal.

Pieper begins by explaining that true communication must convey truth or it is no communication at all.

He states: “Word and language form the medium that sustains the common existence of the human spirit…Human words and language accomplish a two-fold purpose…First, words convey reality..and this points to the second aspect in question, the interpersonal character of human speech…Can a lie be taken as a communication? I tend to deny it. A lie is the opposite of communication. It means specifically to withhold the other’s share and portion of reality, to prevent his participation in reality. And so: corruption of the relationship to reality and corruption of communication.”

“And because you are not interested in reality, you are unable to converse…Any discourse detached from the norms of reality is at the same time mere monologue.”

Pieper brings the point of this philosophical understanding of communication to the ground reality of how Nazis did and current communists and jihadis are now shutting down free speech and controlling the narratives in this war in furtherance of their enslaving ideologies.

“Wherever the main purpose of speech is flatter (untruth), there the word becomes corrupted, and necessarily so. And instead of genuine communication there will exist something for which domination is too benign a term; more appropriately we should speak of tyranny, of despotism…Public discourse, the moment it becomes basically neutralized with regard to a strict standard of truth, stands by its nature ready to serve as an instrument in the hands of any ruler to pursue all kinds of power schemes. Public discourse itself, separated from the standard of truth, creates on its part, the more it prevails, an atmosphere of epidemic proneness and vulnerability to the reign of a tyrant. Serving the tyranny, the corruption and abuse of language becomes better known as propaganda.”

This propaganda, Pieper explains, is the beginning stages of the kinds of evils we have seen in the last century including concentration camps, torture, slave labor camps, and the like, and it all begins “at that almost imperceptible moment when the word loses its dignity.”

How is it that U.S. leaders have an understanding of Islam that is exactly opposite of what U.S. Islamic schools teach muslim children about Islam?

How is it the national democrat party is Marxist by its very nature and openly identify themselves as “Democratic Socialists,” yet Establishment Republicans remain silent about the inherent threat they pose to America?

Besides the obvious answer that some are cowards, the Marxists and jihadis control the narrative and thus control how our leaders – and citizens – understand the nature of these threats.

Pieper addresses this by saying:

“Consequently, one may be entirely knowledgeable about a thousand details and nevertheless, because of ignorance regarding the core of the matter, remain without basic insight…the place of authentic reality is taken over by a fictitious reality; my perception is indeed still directed toward an object, but now it is a pseudoreality, deceptively appearing as being real, so much so that it becomes almost impossible any more to discern the truth.”

As UTT has often published the three keys to winning the war against the Marxists and jihadis. They are:

  1. Speaking truth boldly
  2. Re-establishing America’s Founding Principles
  3. Obey the Law / Police Must Enforce the Law

The most important is speaking truth boldly about the specific dangers of the Marxist and Islamic Movements in America. The reason Mr. Trump is so feared by our enemies and so effective against them is specifically because he calls them out for what and who they are using clear language.

UTT trains American citizens and leaders to understand the threat so you can put the knowledge into action to dismantle these networks and crush them at the local level.

The entire Victory Strategy begins with speaking truth about real enemies. There is no weapon more powerful than the truth spoken boldly in love.

  1. When someone says Islam is a religion of peace, this is clear language intended for a purpose intended for those ignorant of the core of the matter, would this be useful to explain the core being peace comes to Islam by silencing the unbelievers?

  2. This is a huge issue for me. I can say that in this Trump ERA many artists, i.e. musicians and filmmakers are politically illiterate and only able to spew hatred for Trump. Name calling and the lowest level. They have zero facts and zero knowledge. If you hit them with facts, then their opinion is insulted. Suddenly, there opinion becomes irrelevant. That is a huge ego blow to an artist who does live in a type of a fantasy world. They easily fell for Beto who blew a lot more fantasy in their face. Now that some are starting to learn the hard way that feelings are not the facts (Dr. William Low), the anger and rock throwing has turned to silence. It is a good time to kick them while they are down in their time of irrelevance and non-celebrity.

  3. If someone mentions the religion of peace, and says that it is Islam, if you have knowledge about the doctrine ,you will know if this person is misleading the listener, or not explaining what “peace” means to the muslim adherent speaker…to know that the state of war is a muslim living in a non islamic non sharia country, and if they say it in a sharia ruled country they say it is peaceful. But if this is true, it may not be for anyone who has another religion, it may be very difficult to live without fear, details are everything. If Islamic country leaders say we will help the United States fight terror they may still come after non muslim Americans since they classify non believers as terrorists. Some muslims may not want too but it does not mean that the the jihadist will stop his aggression or feel the need to not follow his training of his political/ religion. So like the article on abuse of language it is not communication that is truthful and is more like language a con artist with no guilt or nervous tick to show he is decieving to achieve a goal. And since any truth is offensive and may bring problems the media may just be protecting themselves…..so they are silenced either due to untruthful hate speech laws based on sharia or personal belief. So accurate information is necessary to know especially for leaders unless they are themselves can safely make choices It is truly a dilemma in my opinion since it still is classified as having protection and the left will protest unaware. In my opinion.
